Muni's intriguing album, Trance in Dance, blends East and West, combining Hindu chants and smooth jazz rhythms. Trance in Dance is a unique synthesis influenced by Muni's early years on the Western drum kit performing with such greats as Quincy Jones and Cannonball Adderly--and then expanded through his Indian musical training and years of monastic life. Muni was trained in Eastern drumming by the esteemed Swami Nada Brahmananda of India.
